VLADIVOSTOK, December 27, vladivostoktimes.com US military orchestra is likely to take part in the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the end of the World War II, as the Committee on international, foreign economic and interregional relations of Sakhalin Area reports. The press attaché on cultural and educational issues of the US Consulate General in Vladivostok Silva ETIAN made a business trip to Sakhalin Area. She had a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee international, foreign economic and interregional relations of Sakhalin Area Vadim ROKOTOV. Silva ETIAN thanked the Sakhalin Area Administration for holding the meetings of Russian-American Pacific Partnership and welcoming the American jazz orchestra “Neighbourlines jazz quartet” this April. She noted that the US Consulate General in Vladivostok plans to continue supporting the American musicians tours in future. Today the Consulate develops the offers of the Sakhalin Area Administration to invite US military orchestra in the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the end of the World War II. The celebration will be held in Yuzno-Sakhalinsk in September 2010. They plan to have the parade of military orchestras. The Central military orchestra of the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed its participation. Vadim ROKOTOV noted that the Sakhalin Area Administration will welcome American military musicians.
