VLADIVOSTOK, February 2, vladivostoktimes.com President Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Victor ISHAYEV held a meeting with the President of Korean s gas corporation “KOGAS” Mr Choo Kangsoo in Khabarovsk on February 2. Korean company expressed its wish to participate in construction of gas chemical complex in Vanino Port and in gasification of municipal boiler houses of Vladivostok, as the President Plenipotentiary administration reported to RIA PrimaMedia.

“The visit of the President of Korean state gas corporation to the Far East shows that Russian regions continue their collaboration with the Republic of Korea in the sphere of gas production, processing and transportation. Today Russia is developing gas deposits in Yakutia and plans to develop gas chemistry and build gas liquefaction factories. So the collaboration plans of both parties are the same” Victor ISHAYEV noted.

Mr Choo Kangsoo reported that his company considers the opportunity of development gas condensate deposit in Yakutia, participate in construction of gas chemical complex in Vanino Port and in gasification of municipal boiler houses of Vladivostok and in construction of gas pipeline in Khabarovsk Territory.

“Our company has opportunity to build gas liquefaction factories and pipelines and make investments in construction of gas chemical productions. Today we import 2 billion cubic meters of Russian natural gas. By the year 2015 we plan to increase the volume up to 200 billion cubic meters” said the President of the Korean gas corporation.

Victor ISHAYEV reported that he supports the plans of the Korean gas corporation in respect to the Russian Far Eastern regions.
