VLADIVOSTOK, March 1, vladivostoktimes.com The opening of the exhibition of arts and crafts exhibition “Spring Stories” will be held in Arsenyev Museum on March 4.  The exposition will present handmade dolls and Teddy bears of Vladivostok puppet master’s group (about 40 works) and flower compositions of florists from the “Dyhanie Vostoka” studio (“Breath of the East”) which took part in many museum exhibitions and master classes, as the Arsenyev Museum press center reported to RIA PrimaMedia.

Also the guests will see patchworks, bead works, needle works. Arts doll is very popular art in the world. The artists from different countries gather in creative groups and hold exhibitions in Germany, Denmark, France, Turkey, Israel, Greece, and other countries. The doll is made in different techniques with different materials: polymeric plastic and clay, knit, cotton, sintepon-stuffed, etc.

Teddy bear society – the author’s of these bears – was started due to Theodor Roosevelt. Teddy bears moved from Europe to other countries. The most valuable dolls are antique dolls or new dolls made of vintage cloths. The cost of a doll sometimes can reach a thousand euros. The value is estimated by the time spent by the artist, the number of exhibitions, etc.
