VLADIVOSTOK, March 3, vladivostoktimes.com According to the Primorsky Territory Department of Industry and Transport, in two months of 2010 the Primorye transport freight turnover increased by over 35% in comparison with the same rates of the corresponding period of last year; the press service of the Primorsky Territory Administration reported to RIA PrimaMedia. The experts noted the growth of turnover in all kinds of transportation. It became possible thanks to the large-scale development that is being carried out in Primorye in the framework of the preparation for hosting of the APEC Summit in Vladivostok in 2012. The building materials and other freight cargo needed for the APEC Summit projects are being delivered to the Primorsky Territory, especially to the Russkiy Island, permanently. Besides, the priority-driven investment projects are successfully implemented in Primorye. So, at the turn of the year 2009 Vladimir PUTIN, the Prime Minister of the RF Government, started up the “Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean” pipeline system and the first tanker loaded with oil in the Kozmino Port set off for the voyage to countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.Other articles in this section
