FEFU Prospects to Be Discussed in Pacific Economic Congress
The development of the high tech centers in the Far East is the Forum major point
VLADIVOSTOK, June 13, vladivostoktimes.com The prospects of the high tech centers development in the Far East are to be discussed in the framework of the Pacific Economic Congress. The Forum participants will also discuss the issues of scientific and technological clusters development and the concepts of technologic cooperation between Russia and the countries of Asia-pacific Region; the press service of the Primorsky Territory Administration reports to RIA PrimaMedia.
Andrei VOLKOV, the Rector of the Moscow Management School “SCOLKOVO,” assured that they will take part in the discussion “Far Eastern Federal University. The prospects of High Tech Centers in the Far East.” The discussion is to take place in the framework of IV Pacific Economic Congress.
It is the first time the Forum participants are going to discuss this issue; it is caused by the plans for the erection of scientific and technological clusters in the Primorsky Territory and there is no doubt that the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) is coming to the front.
FEFU is to be the largest research and educational complex in the Federal District and the students from Russia and APR countries will have a chance to study there. Besides, the up-to-date research centers will be created on FEFU base; they will carry out the research into various areas: nanotechnology, microbiology, medicine, telecommunication, underwater robotics and others. The Federal University is to become the intelligent dominant of the Russian Far East and provide the Far East rapidly developing economy with skilled personnel.
The session participants are to discuss the issues of scientific and technological clusters development in the Far East, the concepts of technologic cooperation between Russia and the countries of Asia-pacific Region, the ways of government support of innovation and development of the small forms of business and science, the prospects of educational system, science and business integration.
